MY THESIS STATEMENT!

Prompts...

Prompts, typically there are given to provide a certain structure and or outline if you may for an writing piece like, an essay. Furthermore, a prompt is helpful for the fact that is gives the writer the foundation  to begin to start their work. However, a prompt limits and or restricts writers of their freedom to speak their mind about a topic. For the reason, that it may or may not be related to the point of focus in the prompt. Now, regarding, Young Goodman Brown, a short story, written by Nathaniel Thorne. Prompt or no prompt? In my view, it would be better to not have a singular prompt because there are many components to the story like the power of imagination, puritism in the 17th century, and the true identity of one's self not regarding their reputation. But, if there were to be a prompt I believe the best one would be: Analyze the work, Young Goodman Brown, and select whether to express the purpose, theme, and or influence the works presents and connect it to the audience.
