Moving Forward...
- Nick= THE CONNECTOR
- THE PLAN: Nick invites Daisy to tea then, Gatsby shows up
- Gatsby= cares more about others feelings than his own
- Rain= made Gatsby nervous/ spazz out
- Gatsby is a PERFECTIONIST when it comes to Daisy
- G is a fool when Daisy is present (like a blushing school boy)
- "We haven't met for many years"-Daisy "Five years next November" -Gatsby
- Nick find Daisy in tears in a silent conversation w/Gatsby
- J & D: Meeting was terribly awkward but soon turns into a rekindled romance movie
- "You always have that green light that burns all night at the end of your dock" -Gatsby
- Nick realizes Gatsby and Daisy have forgotten that he is there →Nick leaves Gatsby and Daisy alone together.
This chapter to me was right out of a romantic movie played on a girl's night or perhaps valentines day. Here we have poor love sick Gatsby showing to be a perfectionist when it comes to the girl he longed for. Longed for. for five years to be exact. Finally, he sets up a plan to see the girl. When the meeting comes the tension is all over the room. and not the good kind of tension. Luckily, the mood fades away to the adoration felt between the two people as they felt may years ago. This chapter was basically an reveal to how deeply in love Gatsby and Daisy are as they can simply pick up right where they left off.
