  • Pppl @ the party= "outwardly successful" w/ tragic backgrounds -conveyed racial discrimination of the time period

NICK'S CARDINAL VIRTUE!

Wise Words?

Nick's cardinal virtue: "I am one of the few honest people that I have ever known."

In regards to the truth, in that quote I feel Nick is being humble. He is in fact one of the few honest people in the novel. Everyone around him have shown to be liars. Tom cheats. Dais acts happy. Jordan adapts herself differently situation and or person. Nick is always the same but, he seems to transforming as he is being pulled into the world of the liars.

MY MOM ON MY BIG QUESTION!

Minute of Mindfulness (MOM)

As I sat in my room, gazing at my wall. I begin to think about my big question. Numerous thoughts play out all at once. But, the main one that caught my attention is how will I bring this serious and contradicting opinion "big question"to big authorities or figures. I feel as though my question may be offensive for some. However, those who will not get offended may make the biggest change of all. I will save this thought for another day.
